At Home with Kate Spade: My Favorite Pieces from Kate Spade Home

I believe that I have officially been living under a rock, because when I went to High Point Furniture Market this past fall, I walked into one of my favorite showrooms, EJ Victor, and was greeted by the most stunning green lacquer doors I’ve ever seen. What these doors led to was a very magical place…the new Kate Spade Home collection.

Of course, when I did find out, I was squealing like a thirteen year old girl at a One Direction Concert! It wasn't pretty people..

I always know the 411 on Kate Spade so for me to not even have a clue that there was a home line being introduced was crazy! I even missed the party on Saturday night celebrating the line {insert violins here}.

The entire experience of walking through the Kate Spade Home showroom was everything I would have ever expected. At every corner, I was greeted by adorable pieces adorned with the details we have come to expect and love by Kate Spade.

One of my favorite things though, was the gallery wall with the Drake Tufted Sofa wrapped in a lovely blue fabric, sitting under said wall. It was a showstopper to say the least!

The first day of walking through the showroom was great. However, I knew if I was really going to get a good look at the line, I was going to have to come back early the next day. And that I did…wearing my little red Kate Spade cape might I add, I was able to really take a look at the line and I can officially say that I am just as in love with the home line as I am with every other thing that hosts the name.

Another adorable VIGNETTE in the SHOWROOM.

Below are some of my favorite pieces. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did!

This little Worthington Dining Chair is EVERYTHING! I adore it!

This Georgia Chest is another one of my favorites. I love the gold details and the classic lines.

All of the new lighting is fantastic, but one of my favorites is this Elsie Table Lamp. It comes in three colors and I seriously couldn't decide my favorite if someone made me!

Polka Dots are a Kate Spade staple, and this Downing Desk, adorned with little black polka dots do not disappoint! I especially love the brass hardware and the sexy onyx base.

Another one of my favorite pieces of upholstery is this Drake Slipper Chair. What makes this chair so lovely is the lush linen in Azalea and the sleek silhouette of the chair.

Out of all of the rugs...this Leopard Ikat Rug really caught my eye. I love the fusion of the ever so popular and timeless (yes...I said it...timeless!) leopard print, fused with an Ikat print. Brilliant!

I'm pretty obsessed with this Afton Coffee Table as well! It's simple and yet so classic! The brass ferrules are the perfect accent to this stunning table!

Last but certainly not least is the Drake Sofa. The color of this beautiful linen fabric alone makes it such a great piece, however, the style of this sofa is just as lovely. It's a great scale in person and sits comfortably.

I think I could have put the entire website on here because each piece is so adorable and so very Kate Spade. Be sure to check out the website for the entire line including furniture, lighting, bedding and home accessories! What's your favorite piece? I would love to get your thoughts!

Back to School: Office Accessories for the Kid at Heart

Back to school is just around the corner. I remember my favorite part of back to school was shopping for school supplies.  However, now that I am grown up, I don't get to walk around the store shopping as I hold my paper list and try to find the coolest folders, pens, backpack or lunch sack {insert pity party here}.

Although we are all grown up and shopping for school is a thing of the past, that doesn't mean we have to abide by the adult laws of no supplies needed.  This is exactly why I have spent the past few days shopping around to find some of the coolest office and desk supplies that will fill your kid-at-heart void.

Let's first start with Kate Spade.  I could do an entire blog on Kate Spade's awesome desk supplies!  From staplers, to folders, to little gold paperclips shaped like bows...Kate Spade has it all! You can check them all out here!

I adore these "Kindness is Always in Fashion"  pencils from A Blissful Nest. Rebekah, the owner of ABN has the most adorable office accessories too!

If you haven't heard of Emily Ley, you should seriously put visiting her website  on your list of things to do! One of my favorite things from her site, is the Emily Ley Simplified Planner. It's the Be-all and End-all of planners! Trust me on this one! The 2016 planner launches early September and I can't wait to order one!

If you are on the hunt for some cool binders, then look no further. Russell+Hazel has exactly what you need! They have successfully turned the boring white traditional binder into a cool little binder with a kick-butt spine and a dry erase board inside!

I'm a huge fan of Rifle Paper Co. I seriously could own everything on their website and still not have enough RPC! I especially love their notepads and calendars.  This weekly desk calendar is my favorite!

Who said that the backpack was only for kids? It's making quite the comeback and I love this Toms Departure Pattern Weave Backpack

The Tipsy Writer Pen and Stand from Anthropologie is turned brass and maple and comes in two colors! It is a great addition for those who can never seem to find a pen.

Have you ever wondered what would happen if you asked a complete stranger at a table next to you if they wanted to trade their yogurt for your PB&J? Yeah..me too. But seriously, who could say no if you were sporting this adorable BPA free, food-grade Silicone food bag. It comes in an assortment of colors and can even be microwaved when the top is open! You can grab a Food Bag by Compleat, on their website!

I love this  "To Do" list pad by Rifle Paper Co. Add this to your desk accessories and those mundane chores all of a sudden don't seem so bad to write down!

Jonathan Adler designs some of the coolest curiosities. I love these Globo Boxes, which are polished brass, lined with turquoise velvet and a gem-esque lucite lid in a variety of colors. This is a great paper weight and yes...you can hide your jelly beans inside!
