Wedding Wednesdays: NewlyWish and why I'm Obsessed!

Dangit!  If only I knew about this when I was getting married.  I think it would have made the entire process of registering for gifts so much easier.  Why is this you say?  Well I am about to tell you all about it and why I am so obsessed with the fabulous website called NewlyWish.

NewlyWish is not your normal registry set up and is a true game changer for the registry industry.  What sets them apart is their beautifully selected gifts from over 50 boutiques, brands and artisans.  They have everything from home decor to food and wine along with "Experiences" such as cooking classes, fitness memberships and sports games.  For the couple who may have everything already but want something large like a bed, a honeymoon or even a little help with a new car, NewlyWish has a section for that too.  Also, one of my favorite things is it has a section where your guests can donate to your favorite charity.  This is a great option for the couple who has it all and wants to help out their community or at least offer that as an option on their registry.

Here are some of the features that they offer:

One-click registering – Couples can register for the basics with one click using Kitchen, Bed, and Bath Starter Collections.

Group gifting options – Allows guests to contribute toward big-ticket items like commissioned art, furniture, and luxury linens.

Personalized registry homepage – Couples can customize their registry homepages with photos, messages to guests, and a unique registry URL.

Registry Gift Tracker – Keeps track of all items purchased, what’s been shipped, what’s in process and who to send ‘thank you’ notes.

Gift holding options – Moving? Spring cleaning? NewlyWish will hold all goodies until a specific date.

Cash & Honeymoon Funds – Gives guests the opportunity to contribute cash to the couple’s new life.

Exclusive Mix and Match Tabletop Collections – NewlyWish has taken the guess-work out of figuring out which dinnerware, glassware, and flatware patterns look perfect together, with exclusive collections put together by some of the wedding industry’s biggest names.

As an interior designer, I am very picky with websites and what they believe to be "in style".  However, NewlyWish blew me out of the water with their selections and offer beautifully blended options to make your new home as a couple, the best it can be!

I put together some of my favorite products that I found on their website.  There are so many more as well!  Have fun shopping!

The Not-So-Manic Monday

Happy Monday LMC readers!  Fall is in the air, the birds are chirping outside and I have a desk chair to sit on....and toilet paper holders in my bathroom finally!  It's the little things right?

So before you think I am absolutely crazy, let me explain what I have been up to the last few weeks in hopes that you can forgive me for my recent disappearing act in the blogosphere.

The boy and I closed on our dream house that we have been building for almost two years, we went to Germany for two weeks, I had three weddings in two weeks, a few wrap up design projects to do, and then directly went to High Point Market last week to shop for upcoming design clients.  This was all condensed in about a months time!  We moved into our home after we got back from Germany and then the whirlwind began!

I will say, it was a lot to handle, but all weddings, design projects and house moving went off without a hitch and I CAN'T WAIT to share it all with you!!!  I don't even know where to begin! Along with this fabulous news comes a national publication of an LMC Wedding in Charleston Style and Design magazine!  Be looking out for that blog post this week!  With all this craziness however, comes a lot of gratefulness as there is no way possible I could have done any of this without my supportive husband, family and friends.  Thank you all from the bottom of my heart. The boy even worked a wedding for me as I needed a last minute extra hand to make sure it ran smoothly (he looks great in all black by the way).

In the coming weeks, I will be blogging about my finds at High Point Market, October weddings, sneak peaks of my house and new office and lots of Holiday ideas that I have been saving up for the season so be sure to subscribe to my blog posts!  In the meantime, below are some photos of what I have been up to lately!

Until then...
