What's New at Lauren M. Creative!

I can't believe we are already plowing through 2016 and into Spring! Where has the time gone!? There are so many wonderful things happening at Lauren M. Creative and I can't wait to share with you some big projects that are in the works!

Unfortunately, my blog has taken a back seat during this busy time of year, however, I am blocking off some much-needed time so that I can give you guys some great blog posts in the coming months!

Until, then, I thought you may want some sneak peaks of a few things happening in the world of LMC...

CSOL Designer Showhouse

Every year, the Charleston Symphony Orchestra League puts on a wonderful month-long Designer Showhouse. This year, the home is nestled right across the street from Wentworth Mansion and I must say, this is one of the best houses we have had in a long time!

I took on the Master Bathroom as my room this year, and while it was a challenge, I think it turned out great!

More details to come in a future blog...but here is a sneak peak of the finished space. If you want to go see it in person, the house is open through April 17th.  You can find out more information at

Charleston Home + Design Magazine

The new Spring issue of Charleston Home + Design Magazine was just released this week and I am thrilled to have a feature in there! Be sure to pick up one today!

Lowcountry Live

If you live in the Charleston Area, you may already know, but I have been on the fabulous morning show Lowcountry Live! Over the past few visits, I have shared everything from Holiday Decor, to brightening up your home for Spring.

I will be sure to let you guys know the next time I am on air as I have some fun segments planned for the Summer.

New Product Line

I can't give out too much information yet, but I have been a busy bee with designs for a new product line I am doing for a company very near and dear to me. I can't wait to share!

I am officially on Snapchat which means I have the opportunity every day to feel old. I'm slowly getting the hang of it and meeting some great people in the design industry along the way!  If you are brave enough to give it a try, be sure to follow me for fun snippets of my day, design tips, and probably way too many pictures of my dogs Miss Sophia and Lady Bella.

I want to thank all of my amazing clients, vendors, family and friends for cheering LMC on every step of the way. The more we grow, the more I honestly know that we are nothing without all of you!

Pink is My Favorite Color

It’s no mystery to anyone that my favorite color is pink. There is something about the color that instantly makes me smile and when given the choice for a product..if it comes in pink..I get pink. Aerosmith even wrote a song about it and of course, I love that song too.

I have been blogging a lot about High Point Market, and rightly so, as it’s the event when twice a year, we designers are introduced to the latest and greatest when it comes to home decor. It’s a place where you can cover a lot of ground in just a few short days and with that, can eventually spot the upcoming trends. It’s my favorite thing to do. I love to not only go there to shop for clients, but also get a perspective on what’s hot for the year to come. And let me tell you guys…pink is HOT right now.

I actually wrote half of this blog before Pantone introduced their color of the year which is pink (Rose Quartz) AND blue (Serenity). Both of which I have seen a lot of recently!

Almost every showroom I went to last market had a vignette of pink or pink product. I loved it! I also love that many furniture lines are using pink without gender in mind. Gone are the days of only having a pink space for a ladies room, or for a little girl. Pink is all of a sudden a color that many are putting in their main living areas. It's also a very handsome color on my husband might I add!

Here's what I have been drooling over recently...
